We are many who have always experienced cables as annoying and irritating, and as something you have to hide away, into the wall or under the sofa.
In the 0´roes Danish design brand Muuto launched there E27 lamp, with a colored cable and, a colored socket and an oversized bulb. Like that they created a focus on something we are used to hide away. With colors and design the cable had been made interesting and inspiring instead of irritating. The idea wasn´t new, but it was ready to generate a trend in the market for the coming decades. Since then colorful cables has become a part of most lamp collections, and they have penetrated the gadget market, where we see them used on USB cables and many other electronic devices.
Inspired by the innovation of cables in recent decades, we will continue the trend and create beautiful extension cables, combined with a customer-centric design. Extension cords should be design objects and an accessory that harmonizes with our personal style. In ColorCable we want to unite the extension cord with a rush of Milan, bringing the joy of color where practicality cries out for aesthetic salvation.
Our design philosophy is based on highlighting what cannot be hidden: “If you can’t hide it, make it beautiful”.
We combine this philosophy with minimalist Danish design and inspiring colors. Through market analysis and models, we create a customer-centric design process that is rooted in the target group and market segment the product is created for. The lines for the minimalist design are set by ARDE DESIGN STUDIO, whom we have chosen based on their inspiring projects for BoConcept and Eva Solo, among others. ARDE works from a Scandinavian minimalist perspective, combined with a focus on sustainability and exclusivity. Our color philosophy springs from the pulsating “walk-ways” of fashion, where colors adorn and create eternal inspiration and change. In ColorCable, we will adorn your everyday life and create eternal change with an aesthetic and colorful collection that can inspire and create joy.
