\nOur color philosophy draws from the vibrant walkways of fashion, where colors adorn and create endless inspiration and change.<\/h2>\nBiography
\nColorCable was founded in 2019 to make cables beautiful. We developed our first two power strips and began our quiet launch in September 2023, with the expectation to launch fully at the same time in 2024. \nWe work with the UN’s SDG goals by establishing an SDG requirement with our partners. Since we outsource our production and logistics, our access is indirect, but we can still achieve our goals. Perhaps with even greater impact, as we also influence our partners’ network and set an example of value creation through design and branding to achieve higher quality and sustainable production.<\/h3>\nSustainable Production<\/h3>\n
With a user-friendly design, we have approached manufacturers in Europe and China with requirements for sustainable production using recycled materials. We didn’t seek out manufacturers already doing this but those interested in developing sustainable production. We approached them with a 30-60-90 strategy: 30% recycled material for the first production, 60% for the second, followed by a third horizon goal of 90%, which is not yet possible, but we are participating in changing that. We use a benchmark case from our design studio ARDE, which developed the Nova Sea chair with 96% ocean plastic. Home – ColorCable powerstrips – Sustainable Danish design.<\/h3>\n
Sustainable Logistics<\/h3>\n
Our logistics subcontractors are currently competing for sustainable logistics services. Emission-free deliveries in cities represent a rapidly developing market trend, and our purchasing decisions can contribute to its growth. Additionally, we are actively working to promote the most environmentally friendly solution for transporting our products from the factory in China to our warehouse in Br\u00f8ndby. Although this transition is progressing more slowly, it remains an area where our demand can drive change: no flights or trains, only shipping. CO2 Footprint<\/h3>\n
ColorCable collaborates with ‘Offset My Life,’ a Danish organization where everyone can offset their CO2 footprint. Through ‘Offset My Life,’ we can choose between planting trees or offsetting our footprint by supporting verified renewable energy projects. Expecting a CO2 footprint of 50 tons in 2023, which will be fully offset, we divide our investment between the two alternative methods, after planting a tree for each product. \nGray colors in various shades are the minimalist way to a stylish, simple, and versatile expression. With the color gray, we can reduce our visual presence and mix endlessly. We can create depth and warmth or superficial lightness. Minimalistic Grey is light and cool with a slight bluish tint, making it icily cold. Less is more.
