Design<\/h1>\n

Many of us have always regarded cables as a source of irritation, something to be hidden behind walls or under the sofa. Designer power strips – ColorCable – Danish design. ColorCable powerstrips – Sustainable Danish design.<\/p>\n

\nIn the 2000s, Muuto launched their E27 lamp with a colored cable, matching socket, and an oversized bulb. This highlighted what we normally try to hide. Through the use of colors and design, the cable was transformed from a disruptive element into something exciting and inspiring. Although the concept wasn’t new, it was ready to become a trend in the coming decades. Since then, colorful cables have spread not only within lamp collections but also in the gadget market, including USB cables and various electronic products. ColorCable\u2019s designer power strips in Pantone colors serve as decorative accessories for our interior design.<\/p>\n

Our design philosophy is rooted in highlighting what cannot be hidden\u2014our motto is clear: “If you can’t hide it, make it beautiful.” ColorCable powerstrips – Sustainable Danish design.<\/h2>\n

We combine this philosophy with a minimalist approach to Danish design and an inspiring palette of colors. Through meticulous market analysis and modeling, we create a design process based on our customers’ needs and the specific market segments where our products will be used.<\/p>\n

The sleek and aesthetically pleasing lines of our minimalist designer power strips are conceived by ARDE Design Studio. We chose ARDE because of their impressive portfolio, which includes notable projects for renowned brands like BoConcept and Eva Solo. ARDE Design Studio is grounded in a Scandinavian minimalist approach and prioritizes sustainable design and exclusivity as key elements in their work. Our approach to colors draws inspiration from the vibrant catwalks of the fashion world, where colors provide a constant source of inspiration and change. At ColorCable, we aim to bring this vibrant energy into your daily life by offering a collection filled with colors and aesthetics that can inspire and bring joy\u2014a collection that perpetually changes and enhances your experience.<\/p>\n

Demand-Driven Sustainability<\/h3>\n

We are working towards the UN SDG goals by establishing an SDG requirement with our partners. Since we outsource our production and logistics, our access is indirect, but we can still achieve our objectives. Perhaps with even greater impact, as we also influence our partners’ network and set an example of value creation through design and branding to achieve higher quality and sustainable production. With a user-friendly design, we have approached manufacturers in Europe and China with requirements for sustainable production using recycled materials. We didn’t seek out manufacturers already doing this but those interested in developing sustainable production. We approached them with a 30-60-90 strategy: 30% recycled material for the first production, 60% for the second. Followed by a third horizon goal of 90%, which is not yet possible, but we are participating in changing that. We use a benchmark case from our design studio ARDE, which developed the Nova Sea chair with 96% ocean plastic.<\/p>\n

Our logistics subcontractors are currently competing for sustainable logistics services. Emission-free deliveries in cities represent a rapidly developing market trend, and our purchasing decisions can contribute to its growth. Additionally, we are actively working to promote the most environmentally friendly solution for transporting our products from the factory in China to our warehouse in Br\u00f8ndby. Although this transition is progressing more slowly, it remains an area where our demand can drive change: no flights or trains, only shipping.<\/p>\n

ColorCable collaborates with ‘Offset My Life,’ a Danish organization where anyone can offset their CO2 footprint. Through ‘Offset My Life,’ we can choose between planting trees or offsetting our footprint by supporting verified renewable energy projects. Anticipating a CO2 footprint of 50 tons in 2023, which will be fully offset, we divide our investment between the two alternative methods, after planting a tree for each product.
