ColorCable was founded in November 2018 with a simple yet clear mission: to create extension cords and power strips that enrich the home instead of being a visual disturbance. We achieve this by integrating colors and designs inspired by Scandinavian minimalism. Everything we produce stems from our fundamental philosophy: “If you can’t hide it, make it beautiful.” We focus on offering an alternative to boring and uninspiring extension cords and power strips. ColorCable was born in November 2020 with a vision to revolutionize the way we perceive extension cords and power strips. The core idea was simple yet powerful\u2014to create products that not only serve a practical purpose but also add aesthetic beauty to the home. We wanted to eliminate the traditional perception of cables as impersonal, boring, and annoying elements and replace it with something that catches the eye and excites the senses.<\/p>\n

To achieve this goal, our designs are inspired by Scandinavian minimalism, which celebrates simple lines, functionality, and timeless design. We wanted our products to stem from our core philosophy: “If you can’t hide it, make it beautiful.” This approach became the cornerstone of our design process, where we constantly strive to create products that not only meet practical needs but also enrich the space with aesthetic appeal and style. The culmination of our efforts resulted in Model 3\u2014our flagship product and the first in a carefully planned collection. Model 3 represents everything we wanted to achieve with ColorCable\u2014beautiful extension cords that are both functional and stylish. But we didn’t stop there. We recognized that cabling is no longer just a simple necessity in the home but can also be a gateway to intelligent solutions. Therefore, we plan to implement various smart gadget features, such as USB connectivity and SmartHome functionality, that will future-proof our products and make them even more versatile and modern.<\/p>\n

It is our dream to go against convention and become the first and only international “single product brand” focused on beautiful extension cords. We aim to be leading specialists in this area and prove that even seemingly simple products can be filled with innovation and aesthetic value.<\/p>\n

Behind ColorCable stands a passionate and dedicated team, led by Klaus Boldt, who has 15 years of experience as a franchise owner of BoConcept stores in Berlin. With a strong vision to create beautiful cable solutions, he joined forces with designer Rene Hougaard and ARDE Design Studio. Together, they created the first sketches that became real prototypes and finally a collection, which we proudly present to the world today.<\/p>\n

We are proud of our Scandinavian heritage, deeply rooted in functional, timeless, and uncompromising design. It is a legacy we want to continue and develop while exploring new color combinations and intelligent solutions. We are working towards the UN SDG targets by establishing a corporate demand for SDGs among our partners. Since we outsource our production and logistics, our access is indirect, but we can still achieve our objectives. Perhaps with an even greater impact, as we also influence our partners’ network, setting an example of creating value through design and branding to promote higher quality and sustainability in production.
