ColorCable came into existence in November 2018 with a simple yet powerful vision: to revolutionize the way we perceive extension cords and power strips. The idea was straightforward but impactful – to create products that not only served a practical purpose but also added aesthetic beauty to our homes. We aimed to shatter the traditional perception of cables as impersonal, dull, and irritating elements, replacing it with something that captivated the eye and delighted the senses.


To achieve this goal, our designs drew inspiration from Scandinavian minimalism, which embraces clean lines, functionality, and timeless design. We wanted our products to embody our fundamental philosophy: “If you can’t hide it, make it beautiful.” This approach became the core of our design process, as we continually strived to create products that not only solved a practical need but also enriched the space with aesthetic appeal and style.


The culmination of our efforts resulted in Model 3 – our flagship product and the first in a meticulously planned collection. Model 3 embodies everything we set out to achieve with ColorCable – beautiful extension cords that are both functional and stylish. However, we didn’t stop there. We recognized that cabling was no longer just a simple necessity in homes; it could also serve as a gateway to intelligent solutions. Therefore, we plan to integrate various smart gadget features, such as USB connectivity and SmartHome functionality, to future-proof our products and make them even more versatile and modern.


Our dream is to challenge conventions and become the first and only international “single product brand” with a focus on beautiful extension cords. We aspire to be the leading specialists in this field, proving that even seemingly simple products can be filled with innovation and aesthetic value.

At the helm of ColorCable is a passionate and dedicated team led by Klaus Boldt, who brings 15 years of experience as the franchise owner of BoConcept stores in Berlin. With a strong vision to create beautiful cabling solutions, he joined forces with designer Rene Hougaard and ARDE Design Studio. Together, they translated initial sketches into real prototypes and eventually into a collection that we proudly present to the world today.


We take pride in our Scandinavian heritage, deeply rooted in functional, timeless, and uncompromising design. It’s a legacy we will carry forward and continue to evolve while exploring new color combinations and intelligent solutions. We strive to make a positive difference in our customers’ lives and homes, and our commitment to sustainability, using 30% recycled plastic, reinforces our dedication to leaving a positive impact on the environment.
